Justin and I spent the entire weekend painting, which wasn't very much fun considering how nice it was outside. But we finished what we needed to do to stay on schedule. We got the entire inside of the house painted - 2800 square feet in four different colors (one for the basement, one for the main and top floors, and one for each bathroom). In between coats, we sanded and stained 11 enormous beams that will be built into the new front porch and side deck this week. The ceiling will also be painted this week.
We're staying at a condo while all of the remodeling is taking place. My boss happens to live two doors down from us. We haven't run into him a single time since we moved in two months ago, but guess who we ran into when we got home tonight. I'm not sure that "you guys even smell like paint" is a compliment, especially when it's being said from 10 feet away.
A special thanks to Justin's mom Joanne who helped us paint this weekend. And while I'm thanking people, thanks to Justin's brothers Nathan and Allen for helping with siding demolition for a day. And a HUGE thanks to my brother Dan for helping with demolition for more than 2 weeks.
