Whirlwind trip, a big ouch, and lots of snow

Justin, Edison, and I took a whirlwind trip last week. We left Thursday morning to go to Justin's cousin's funeral in Lewiston. We spent Friday at Justin's parents house in Colton. We spent Saturday at Justin's grandfather's funeral in Uniontown. It was a tough couple of days. Here is the only picture I took. I think it is hilarious because Justin - who is huge - looks so tiny next to his brothers.

We left Edison at the farm with Justin's parents to go to McCall for my cousin's 40th birthday party. We hit some awesome powder on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday night, we cross country skiied to a yurt for a beautiful dinner on the lake for the first big part of the birthday party.

Justin actually hauled this heavy beer gift on his back all the way to the yurt. It was worth it to see my cousin's reaction.

On Monday, we skiied at Tamarack for second big part of the birthday party. My cousin had rented out the whole thing. It was a beautiful sunny day and there were only about 30 people skiing. It was pretty awesome.

We spent Monday night at another fancy dinner followed by dancing the night away at a bar. We skied again on Tuesday morning and then headed back to the farm that night. We made it back to CDA on Wednesday.

On Saturday morning, we had to take Edison to urgent care for the first time. He is such a little dare devil that it was only a matter of time before he would hurt himself. Oddly enough, this was pretty tame. He was watching a movie in his laundry hamper when he tipped over and split his chin open on our hardwood floors. Edison now likes to show everyone his "big ouch."

On Sunday, it snowed about a foot.  We had an awesome time sledding down the sidewalk before it mostly melted the next day.
