Christmas

First off, I want to apologize up front for this post being so late. It will also be very long and full of pictures. Consider yourself warned.

Justin and I were both incredibly busy in December and knew we would be in January, too, so we decided we wanted a quiet Christmas at the cabin. With the way the holidays fell, and both of our companies shutting down for a week, we were able to spend two full weeks there only using 3 vacation days each.

We started off our trip by celebrating Christmas with my family a few days early.

Edison and his cousin Abby built a gingerbread train

Nailed it!

Playing his new piano

Christmas at the cabin was nice and quiet. Edison was so excited about the whole thing, which made it magical for the rest of us.

Ready for Santa to come

A new big boy bike

Meowy Christmas!

We spent the rest of our time at the cabin skiing, sledding, and spending time with friends and family.

Edison wanted to pretend to be Santa with the dogs as his reindeer.
After we rigged this up, he excitedly asked me if his sled was going to fly.

Hiking with Pops and Grammy

And Mommy

Sophie enjoyed it as well

Snoeshoeing with his new snowshoes

And skiing. Lots of skiing.

Justin got me a GoPro for Christmas and we mounted it on Edison's ski helmet. I finally sifted through literally hours of footage.  Most of it was pretty boring, but I did put together this montage of cute moments.

I also got a kick out of this entire run. It's long and the quality isn't great, but it is an interesting perspective on skiing when you're only 3 years old. It also shows how stinking fast he is. (By way of explanation, he was looking for his friend Charlie and quoting the movie Frozen.)

Here is what we have been up to since we got home, besides work.

Enjoying our cozy home

And the early morning view from our bedroom

Sledding with friends

 Hiking

A princess themed birthday party. What a good sport!

 Snuggling cousin Hadley

And a much needed haircut
