Justin and I have been pretty busy the last couple weeks. Some good friends of ours got married on the 24th; we had a house full of guests for the weekend and 4 days of wedding events to attend. Then we spent Halloween weekend at a Vandal football game and visiting our parents. The only picture I have of the two of us together from all of this is the following:

And now on to the good stuff. In the living room we did the following:
- Fixed water damage on ceiling
- Fixed wiring throughout (and added surround sound)
- New windows (except for the two we restored above the fireplace)
- New doors
- New wood floor
- New tiled entry
- New stairs
- New lighting
- New wall texture and paint
- New built-ins around the fireplace (you can't tell from the pictures, but the old ones were made of painted plywood)

A quick side note: Justin and I were actually living in the house when the before pictures were taken. We sold our house in Boise in August and put almost all of our belongings in storage for what we thought would be 3 months. It turned out to be almost a year. I lived in the house alone from September through December with just my clothes, a set of dishes, a lawn chair, and a borrowed bed. Justin joined me in January and brought his clothes, another chair, and a folding table and chairs with him. The house was in such poor shape at the time that we taped all of the downstairs heating vents shut and lived in just the master bedroom. We had to cook in coats and gloves, but we managed to keep our heating bills down to $250 per month. Ah, the memories...
