Christmas was a little rough for us this year. Edison spiked a really high fever and we ended up in the emergency room at 4:00 in the morning on Christmas day. The culprit was another ear infection. The next three days were pretty awful; even maxing out on both Tylenol and Advil and giving him cold baths we could barely keep his temperature down to 103. He refused to nurse for an entire week, so I got to spend about two and a half hours a day with my pump. We were just getting back to normal when I got the stomach flu this weekend. If there is a bright side, Edison can now say that his first Christmas present was a rectal thermometer.
He managed to have a pretty good Christmas despite how terrible he felt. He even learned how to sit on his own on Christmas morning.
He also got to spend lots of time with his grandparents (and in his pajamas).
And he learned about presents.
After Christmas and once Edison's fever was finally down, we went to McCall. We usually spend the week skiing, but there wasn't enough snow for the mountain to even be open. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and enjoying our little guy.
We're all finally feeling well and are hoping to stay that way for awhile.
Awwww. Poor little guy. He looks so happy (and cute!) in all the pictures though so he still must have managed to have a great Christmas! :-) Let me know the next time you head to McCall. I'll totally make the trip up to see you guys. It's been way too long!
