Port Townsend

Last Tuesday, Justin and I decided to go to Port Townsend to spend Memorial Day weekend with our friends, Cam and Jenn.  Justin was up in Alaska when we made this decision.  So I packed bags for the three of us and drove to Seattle alone with a baby to meet him.  It went surprisingly well thanks to lots of Cheerios and an overnight stay at my sister's house in Yakima.

We had a great time and perfect weather.  On Saturday, we went to the farmers' market and picked up a picnic lunch.  We also bought this adorable hat for our little monster.

Then we spent the rest of the day cider tasting.

On Sunday, we went for a beautiful 7-mile hike.

The rest of the time we just hung out and enjoyed the time with our friends.  Edison loved Cam and Jenn, crawling into their laps for cuddles and tricking them into walking him around.

The highlight of Edison's trip was the ferry. (Excuse the tight outfit.  It's the spare we keep in the diaper bag for blow-outs.)  He clapped and squealed the entire time.

The highlight of Justin's trip was a little bit random.  Justin's favorite book growing up was Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel.  Justin reads it to Edison a couple times a week.  This is Mary Anne the Steam Shovel.

The highlight of my trip was spending time with my little family.  The cider was pretty tasty, too.
