Eye update

Edison stayed home from school today with pink eye and a double ear infection, poor kid.  I worked from home and he got to hang out in his pajamas and watch movies all morning.  He thought it was pretty awesome.  He also painted a beautiful picture entirely by himself - and only got a little bit on the curtains - for Justin who is away on a business trip.

We also finally had a good ophthalmologist appointment last week.  The last couple have been very disappointing and frustrating.  The doctor finally decided that the lack of a crease in his eyelid has impacted her assessment of the lid height, which is fine after all.  She also decided that having a 2-year-old do eye tests using letters may be a little less than accurate.  After a full dilation appointment, she assessed his vision at 20/20.  She also thinks we will be able to hold off on his next surgery until he is 5.  All of this is so much better than we have been hearing at the last couple appointment.  We are continuing the dilating drops twice a week, but it is a factor of his age rather than our efforts.

And here are some pictures from the last couple weeks:

We hosted a Cinco de Mayo party

 We went for walks

We hiked Tubbs

We worked on our landscaping

We made 6 trips to the brand new park downtown

We rode our tractor around the courtyard. A lot.

And we pretended to be a puppy, complete with panting
