Thanksgiving and a sausage party

For at least the last month, I have been working until midnight every night (and finally met my deadlines) and Justin has been traveling every week.  We really needed a break and some down time together.  We spent the whole week of Thanksgiving at the cabin in McCall, just the three of us. We didn't do very much and it was just what we needed.

Edison practiced putting on his ski gear by himself

We built a snowman

Edison learned to use the tripod and camera timer to take family pictures

And we napped (he's such a boy)

After Thanksgiving, we went to Justin's mom's family farm and made sausage with the whole family. There were 28 of us, all wearing matching shirts. It was so much fun.

The assembly line

E helped Justin twist the links

He also helped Pops run the sausage stuffer

Proud of his work

Justin has a "brain story" that he tells Edison about Grandpa Ed's old Edsel. Edison was really excited to see the car and spent a lot of time pretending to drive it.

He also liked feeding the horses

And playing with a second cousin

We stopped to see some Christmas lights with Grammy on the way home

We spent the night at Justin's parents' house that night.  Edison was really excited to get to snuggle his cousin Hadley some more.

We are back in CDA, refreshed and ready to tackle a busy month.
