Yesterday did not bring the good news we had hoped for on the final inspection. The city is asking us to replace our entire sidewalk and we're fighting back. Every day brings a higher level supervisor to check out the situation. We're keeping our fingers crossed.
We forged ahead anyway and moved in yesterday. Our stuff has been in storage for over 10 months and we have lived in 5 different places in the last year. Sleeping in our own bed last night was almost too good to be true. Finding the coffee pot this morning was just as exciting.
We still have a lot of work to do on the house (fill nail holes, clean windows, stain doors, paint the outside, landscape, etc), and unpacking is going to take weeks, but it's good to be home. I'll get some pictures up when I find the camera.
