My family celebrates holidays in the most bizarre and wonderful ways - like having a theme each year for Christmas. We also make up our own holidays - like Thanksgiving Eve when we gorge ourselves on Chinese food to stretch out our stomachs. Well, today is one of my favorite Meyer holidays... it's Sandwich Day.
Sandwich Day is really just the day between my birthday (July 16) and my sister's birthday (July 18). I'm not quite sure how or when Sandwich Day came about, but it's a big deal now. There is always a flurry of phone calls, emails, and even e-cards to celebrate the big day. And eating sandwiches is mandatory, of course.
