Hawaii

We just got back from a 10-day vacation in Hawaii.  We were very nervous about flying with a 3-month-old baby, but he did great.  We just kept him in his pajamas and I nursed him on take-off and landing.  He slept all but about an hour on both trips and was cooing and smiling the whole time he was awake.  Whew!

We spent the first two days on Maui for the wedding of our good friends, Seth and Casey.  It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. It was so much fun, in fact, that we can tell you exactly what a bad idea it is to mix hangovers and babies.

The hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room which was amazing.

We spent the next week on the big island for our first family vacation.  We stayed at my aunt's condo which had an equally amazing view.

We spent the first few days touring the island.

The roads got interesting on our quest for the perfect beach

We decided to give Edison a break from his car seat and spent the rest of the week hanging out on beaches and taking turns snorkeling.  That was my favorite part of the trip.

We also had a good time posing the baby for ridiculous pictures.

And finally my favorite picture.  Edison found his feet while we were gone.  He loves to grab his toes and growl.
