Weddings and a week in McCall

Justin will be the best man in a wedding in a few weeks, so he hosted a bachelor party in Coeur d'Alene for 11 guys. They had a blast. They rented a pedal pub, went to a turtle race, hung out at a fancy pool on the lake, and went boating.

Edison and I spent the weekend with some good friends who happen to live close to where my cousin was married that Saturday.

Proposing. Scarily not staged.

Dancing with his cousin Abby

On Sunday, we packed up and headed to McCall for a week of vacation. We all needed to unwind after the busy summer we have had.

On Monday, we slept. And built legos. And slept some more.

On Tuesday, we went canoeing in a river that feeds Payette Lake. It was beautiful.

Then we attempted to go fishing at a high mountain lake, but were stopped first by the forest service (due to fires) and then by a blown radiator cap, which my own personal McGyver replaced with a granola bar wrapper, a beer can, and some fishing line.

On Wednesday, we drove out to Burgdorf hot springs and soaked for a couple hours.

On the way home, we canoed and fished in Upper Payette Lake.

On Thursday, we rode the chairlift to the top of Brundage and then did a little mountain biking.

Then we went out on the lake with some good friends from Boise.

We also spent the whole day Friday out on the lake. The highlight was watching the planes scoop water to fight some nearby fires.

On Saturday, we drove out to Gold Fork hot springs.

On Sunday, we packed up and made the long journey home. It was a wonderfully relaxing vacation.
